Peer Education Program

What is a Peer Educator? What do we do?

We are students selected from the eighth grade who have the capability to assist others. Our goal is to be able to talk to anyone who needs help, and to reach out to students. We are there for any student who might not be able to solve problems on their own. We are trained to resolve disputes, and even make referrals to counselors. Also, our group will put on school activities or functions, such as school dances. We strive to be role models for everyone at
LMS and the Elementary School. We are there for you, because sometimes it’s easier to talk to a friend or someone your age, instead of an adult.

What Does Our Theme Mean?

Our theme’s slogan is “Don’t leave your problems in your inbox, send them to us.” Our theme picture is a Computer with a message in the inbox. The slogan is trying to explain that leaving a problem in your mind or “inbox” isn’t the right thing to do, as problems tend to build up.  By “sending” your problems to us, we can help solve them. Our theme underlines that anytime you have a problem or need “technical support”, one of us will be here to help.  Being kids just like you, we’re very easy to talk to and treat you like a friend, because you are. Never leave your problems alone, send them to us and we can delete your inbox.
